What I did before this
I come from the auditor side of banking — tens of thousands of inspections for large financial institutions. I know what it's like to work out of a hotel room in the field. One year I had a rental car for 270 days.

The honest part
What happens when there's nothing there
Some weeks, your trade and state just don't have a real opportunity worth your time. When that's true, I tell you that — I don't manufacture a match to look busy, and I don't send you something you'd lose money chasing. The shortlist is short on purpose. If it's empty, that's the honest answer, not a reason to pad it.
